The firm was first set up in June 1988 under the name and style of H. C. Tan & Co. In September 1995, the name of the firm changed to its present name, H. C. Tan & Zahani. Thereafter, H. C. Tan & Zahani established a branch in Rawang, Selangor in June 1996.
